Abstract:
A shaft member equipped with: an outer circumferential surface; at least one axial side surface facing the axial direction; a chambered section formed at a connecting portion of the axial edge of the outer circumferential surface and the outer circumferential edge of the axial side surface; and a portion to be processed, which is formed on at least a portion of the outer circumferential surface. The chamfered section has at least one supported surface portion, which is arranged in the axial center portion of the chamfered section and is inclined relative to the axial direction in a direction farther toward the outside in the radial direction as the supported surface portion approaches the portion to be processed. In a cross section in the axial direction the axial edge of the outer circumferential surface and the outer circumferential edge of the axial side surface are positioned on the inside, in the radial direction, of a tangent line in the axial center portion of the supported surface portion.
