Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sheet manufacturing device and manufacturing method that allow increasing freedom of materials to be procured. This sheet manufacturing device is provided with: a raw material supply unit for supplying raw material; a breaker unit for breaking the raw material and forming raw material fiber; and a pressure applying unit for applying pressure to a deposit wherein the raw material fibers are deposited, in the direction of the thickness thereof. A sterilization unit is provided between the breaking unit and the pressure applying unit.
