Abstract:
This ship steering assistance system, when a ship is assisted by at least one tugboat and leaves from or docks at a quay wall, includes: a voice recognition unit which acquires a voice signal and converts the voice signal to a text string; an acquisition unit which acquires the position and azimuth of the ship, and the position and azimuth of the tugboat; a storage unit which stores shape characteristics of the ship and shape characteristics of the tugboat; and a display output unit which displays and outputs a ship steering assistance screen. The ship steering assistance screen includes a ship diagram shown on a sea chart on the basis of the position, the azimuth and the shape characteristics of the ship, a tugboat diagram shown on the sea chart on the basis of the position, the azimuth and the shape characteristics of the tugboat, and the text string.
