Abstract:
This ship steering device is equipped with a steering angle-changing cylinder device, a pair of steering angle-changing pistons, a rack-and-pinion mechanism, and a pair of steering angle-restricting cylinders. Each steering angle-restricting piston is capable of switching between an allowing state that allows movement to the end of the stroke of each steering angle-changing piston, and a restricting state that restricts the movement to the end of the stroke of each steering angle-changing piston. Each steering angle-restricting piston at least operates so as to be in the restricting state when the speed of the ship is equal to or above a preset steering angle restriction-applying speed.
