Abstract:
A short-circuit fault-tolerant control method for a sinusoidal or trapezoidal counter-potential five-phase permanent magnet motor using deadbeat current tracking. The method fully utilizes the third harmonic space of the five-phase permanent magnet motor in a fault state, and the fault-tolerant control strategy for a five-phase permanent magnet motor with a sinusoidal counter-potential and a trapezoidal counter-potential in the case of a single-phase short-circuit fault is presented, so that the five-phase permanent magnet motor can fully utilize the third harmonic space thereof in a fault-tolerant operation. The method improves the performance of the motor to produce an output torque in the fault state, and improves the efficiency of fault-tolerant operation of the motor, so that the motor can have better fault-tolerant performance and dynamic response. Moreover, the speed regulation range of the motor fault-tolerant operation is widened, so that the motor can be better applicable in the application field of electric vehicles that require high reliability and a wide speed regulation range. Compared with the current hysteresis modulation method used in the conventional fault-tolerant algorithm, the switching loss of the inverter is reduced.
