Abstract:
This shovel, that digs according to complex digging operations that include arm closing operations and boom lifting operations, comprises: a digging operation detecting unit (300) to detect that complex digging operations are performed; a position detecting unit (301) to detect the position of the shovel; a maximum allowable pressure calculating unit (302) to calculate, as a first maximum allowable pressure (PBMAX), on the basis of the shovel position, the pressure of a rod-side oil chamber (7R) of a boom cylinder (7) corresponding to the reactive force of digging when the shovel tips due to the reactive force of digging; and a boom cylinder pressure control unit (303) to control the pressure of the rod-side oil chamber (7R) of the boom cylinder (7) so as not to exceed the first maximum allowable pressure (PBMAX) when performing complex digging operations.
