Abstract:
This shutter speed determination device comprises a motion detection unit which subjects image data obtained by capturing a subject image to a motion vector detecting process in units of a designated block size, and a control unit. The control unit causes the motion detection unit to perform the detecting process repeatedly while the block size is decreased, determines, each time the detecting process is performed, a motion vector-related value that varies in the same direction as a direction of change in the magnitude of the motion vector, and, on the basis of the motion vector-related value determined, determines a shutter speed for a subsequent capturing of the subject image.
