Abstract:
A side cover of an horizontal diesel engine is provided, wherein an aperture (21) acting
as a wind collecting passage for cylinder body (23) is provided on the portion of
the side cover body which corresponds to the cylinder body and cylinder cover of
the horizontal diesel engine, a joint flange (17) is provided for connecting the
wind collecting passage with the cylinder body, the side cover body is provided with
pin holes (19), screw holes (18) and a crankshaft bearing saddle bore (20),an aperture
(22) acting as a wind collecting passage (24) is provided at the portion of the
side cover body (6) which corresponds to the grease-box. The side cover is simple
structure, which can seal the crankcase of the vertical diesel engine and support
the crankshaft, and can integrate with the wind collecting passage. Thereby
the step cooling to the heated parts of the power generating unit is obtained.
