Title:
SIGNAL GENERATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/054173
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to generate a high-quality signal having a broader bandwidth than an output bandwidth of a single sub-DAC by means of high-efficiency, high-precision compensation by using multiple sub-DACs and high-speed analog devices, a signal generation device is provided with: a digital signal processing unit; M (M is an integer equal to or greater than 2) sub-DACs having an analog bandwidth of fB; and a broadband analog signal generation unit for generating a broadband analog signal including components having a frequency of (M-1) fB or higher by using M analog signals output by the M sub-DACs. The digital signal processing unit is provided with: a means for generating M original divided signals, which are equivalent to signals obtained by dividing a desired output signal into M segments on a frequency axis and by down-converting the respective segments into basebands, and M folded divided signals obtained by folding the M original divided signals at the frequency axis; and 2M x M filters for, upon receiving the original divided signals and the folded divided signals as input, outputting M composite signals to be transmitted to the M sub-DACs, wherein response functions can be individually set to the 2M x M filters in accordance with 2M2 combinations of input and output.
