Abstract:
[Problem] To accurately generate a sign specification signal capable of specifying the sign of a logic signal capacitively coupled to a communication path and transmitted through the communication path. This signal reading system is provided with: a signal generation device 2A connected to electrodes 22a, 22b disposed near a communication path SB (coated conducting wires La, Lb) through which a logic signal Sa is transmitted, and having a signal generation circuit that generates a pair of voltage signals the voltages of which change according to voltages Va, Vb transmitted to the coated conducting wires La, Lb capacitively coupled to the electrodes 22a, 22b, and on the basis of a difference voltage therebetween, generates a sign specification signal Sf capable of specifying a sign corresponding to the logic signal Sa; and a signal conversion device 3 having a signal conversion circuit that converts the sign specification signal Sf into signals Vcva, Vcvb compliant with the communication system of the logic signal Sa and outputs the signals from a third connector unit 45. In cases CA1, CA2 of the respective devices 2, 3, grounding terminals 17, 46 for setting the reference potentials of the signal generation circuit and the signal conversion circuit to a ground potential are disposed.
