A silicon rod opening device and a side skin unloading apparatus (28) applied to a silicon rod opening device: the silicon rod opening device comprises silicon rod carrying platforms (21) and a wire cutting apparatus, the wire cutting apparatus comprises a lifting wire cutting supporting base (241) and a wire cutting unit (25) provided on the wire cutting supporting base (241), the wire cutting unit (25) has a cutting wire segment, and the cutting wire segment penetrates a single-crystal silicon rod so as to form a cut silicon rod and a side skin (10); the side skin unloading apparatus (28) comprises: a side skin lifting mechanism (280) for lifting the side skin (10) so that the top end of the side skin (10) protrudes from the cut silicon rod, and a clamping and transferring unit (281) arranged above the silicon rod carrying platforms (21) for clamping the top end of the side skin (10) and then lifting the side skin (10) so as to separate same from the cut silicon rod and transfer the side skin (10) to a side skin unloading area.
