Abstract:
The invention provides a silicone strip for a windscreen wiper, including an upper silicone strip and a lower silicone strip. The upper silicone strip consists of, by mass percent, 90-95% of a silicone, 2-6% of a magnesium oxide and 2-5% of a pigment powder, and the lower silicone strip consists of, by mass percent, 60-70% of a silicone, 8-12% of a black graphite, 4-6% of a white graphite, 5-8% of a polytetrafluoroethylene, 5-10% of a methylsilsesquioxane, 2-3% of a 2,2'-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone, 2-3% of a thioxanthone photoinitiator, 1-3% of a magnesium oxide and 2-3% of a pigment powder. The invention further provides a method for manufacturing the silicone strip for the windscreen wiper. The manufactured silicone strip has a good toughness, high corrosion resistance, good softness, and is able to wipe and clean glass effectively. The strip is also not susceptible to aging and has a long service life.
