Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide a sizing agent composition which enables the production of carbon fibers capable of being formed into a carbon fiber-reinforced composite material in which the adhesion of a resin to carbon fibers is excellent and which have excellent mechanical properties. The sizing agent composition according to the present invention contains (A) a block isocyanate and (B) a compound containing at least one or more polar groups and one or more unsaturated groups per molecule. In the present invention, the mixing ratio (by mass) of (A) the block isocyanate and (B) the compound containing at least one or more polar groups and one or more unsaturated groups per molecule, i.e., (A/B), is preferably 95/5 to 5/95. In the present invention, (A) the block isocyanate is preferably a compound having an aliphatic backbone.
