Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a sizing agent which is for an inorganic fiber and with which the adhesiveness of an inorganic fiber to a base material of a composite material can be improved; an inorganic fiber and a production method therefor; and a composite material. A sizing agent for an inorganic fiber according to the present invention is characterized by containing: at least one carbon nanostructure selected from among carbon nanotubes and carbon nanofibers; a resin; and a surfactant, wherein, when the total content ratio of the surfactant and the nonvolatile components in the resin is 100 parts by mass, the surfactant is contained in a ratio of 2-50 parts by mass. An inorganic fiber according to the present invention is characterized in that said sizing agent for an inorganic fiber is attached. A method for producing an inorganic fiber according to the present invention is characterized by including a step for attaching said sizing agent for an inorganic fiber to an inorganic fiber. Moreover, a composite material according to the present invention is characterized by containing said inorganic fiber and a matrix resin.
