The present invention relates to a technology for treating a sleep disorder and, more particularly, to a sleep inducing device that irradiates light of a specific wavelength on the skin for a predetermined period of time and induces secretion of melatonin, which is a sleep-inducing hormone, thereby being capable of inducing a comfortable sleep, and a sleep inducing method using the device.
