Abstract:
Provided is a slider for a slide fastener which maintains engagement of fastener elements and facilitates insertion of a pin of an opener into a slider. A cut-out region (40) is formed on an upper blade (21) on at least one side of a guide post (23) in the width direction. The cut-out region (40) includes: a side edge portion (41) which extends further outward in the width direction than the guide post (23) and which is disposed along the front to back direction; and a front edge portion (42) which extends outward in the width direction from the rear end of the side edge portion (41). A lower blade (22) has a mounting portion (22a) which is located outward of the side edge portion (41) in the width direction and forward of the front edge portion (42).
