Abstract:
A motor device is equipped with a casing, a permanent magnet, a rotor, and a brush (7). The rotor has a commutator electrically connected to an armature and an armature coil and provided on a rotating shaft rotatably supported inside the casing. The brush (7) is equipped with an arm portion (51), a fixed portion (60), and a sliding contact portion (20). The sliding contact portion (20) of the brush (7) has a sliding contact surface (71) involved in the rotation of the rotor (3). The brush (7) always slidingly contacts the commutator and has a function of supplying current to the armature coil. The brush (7) and the commutator reach a high temperature due to ohmic loss and sliding contact. The sliding contact portion (20) is constituted by including an intermetallic compound phase produced by a chemical reaction between a first metal and a second metal.
