Abstract:
Disclosed, in the present invention, are an apparatus and method for improving dewaterability of digested sludge discharged during an anaerobic digestion process for high concentration organic waste. The method for improving dewaterability for digested sludge is carried out between an anaerobic digestion process of converting organic waste into sludge and a dehydration process for the sludge. The method is characterized by comprising a sludge aging step of reducing the concentration of organic acids in the sludge by introducing the sludge into a reaction tank and then maintaining the sludge at a predetermined aging temperature and aging time while stirring. Accordingly, the method can improve the dehydration efficiency of solid-liquid separation at the subsequent stage, as well as chemical and biological treatment efficiency for wastewater composed of dehydrated filtrate.
