Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smart guardrail, and more particularly, to a smart guardrail which protects a driver by absorbing shock when a vehicle collides with the guardrail, and which enables real-time monitoring and remote control for preventing secondary traffic accidents. A smart guardrail according to an embodiment of the present invention is characterized by: comprising supports which are installed and fixed at regular intervals in the center or at the edges of a road, and guardrail plates which are coupled and fixed to one or both sides of the supports; and further comprising shock absorbing members for absorbing and mitigating shock when a vehicle collides with the guardrail, and terminals which detect external shocks such as the collision with the vehicle and detect the appearance of wild animals on the road to transmit a warning signal to terminals that are further behind and make said terminals display a warning.
