Abstract:
A smartwatch assembly (100) may include a dial portion (112) having a plurality of apertures (150,152) extending therethrough and a circuit board (106) having a plurality of LED modules (134) disposed thereon. The plurality of LED modules (134) may be oriented to emit light toward the plurality of apertures (150,152) of the dial portion (112). The circuit board (106) may include a control module (136) configured to illuminate the plurality of LED modules (134) in response to an alert and a communication module (138) configured to interface with an electronic device wirelessly and to receive the alert. Methods of making a smartwatch assembly (100) may include disposing a dial portion (112) having a face plate (144) and a plurality of hour-mark apertures (150) extending through the face plate (144) in a watch casing (102) and disposing a circuit board (106) having a plurality of LED modules (134) disposed thereon in a watch casing (102)，the plurality of LED modules (134) corresponding to the plurality of hour-mark apertures (150).
