Abstract:
Provided is a solar cell manufacturing method with which it is possible to suppress reduction in the performance of a solar cell and damage to the appearance of the solar cell even when the manufacturing process is simplified. The solar cell manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing a back contact solar cell, the method including: a first semiconductor layer forming step of forming a patterned semiconductor layer of a first conductivity type and a lift-off layer in a first region on a rear side of a semiconductor substrate; a second semiconductor layer material film forming step of forming a material film of a semiconductor layer of a second conductivity type on the lift-off layer in the first region and in a second region on the rear side of the semiconductor substrate; and a second semiconductor layer forming step of forming a patterned semiconductor layer of the second conductivity type in the second region by removing the lift-off layer. In the second semiconductor layer forming step, the semiconductor substrate is brought into contact with an etching solution with the rear side of the semiconductor substrate facing the surface of the etching solution, and the semiconductor substrate is conveyed on the surface of the etching solution.
