Abstract:
The present invention reduces noise in a solid-state imaging element in which an analog/digital converter (ADC) is disposed in each column. A test signal source generates a test signal of a prescribed level. An analog/digital converter increases/decreases an analog signal by an analog gain selected from among a plurality of analog gains, and converts the increased/decreased analog signal to a digital signal. An input switching unit inputs, as an analog signal, either the test signal or a pixel signal to the analog/digital converter. A correction value calculation unit derives, from the test signal and the digital signal, a correction value for correcting an error of the selected analog gain. A correction unit corrects the digital signal on the basis of the output correction value.
