Abstract:
A sound attenuation device and a noise-cancelling earplug having the same. A sound attenuation device comprises a plug body (1) and a plug rod (2). An outer-side end of the plug body (1) has a sound-gathering cavity (101). An edge of the sound-gathering cavity (101) has a chamfer extending outwardly. A conduction cavity (102) is formed inside the plug body (1). The conduction cavity (102) is arranged behind the sound-gathering cavity (101). The conduction cavity (102) has a cylindrical or an inverted conical shape. The plug rod (2) is inserted into and bonded to the conduction cavity (102). The plug rod (2) has a cylindrical or a conical shape. A hole (201) is formed on and extends through an outer surface of the plug rod (2) in an axial direction. The hole (201) on the outer surface of the plug rod (2) and an inner surface of the conduction cavity (102) together form a noise-suppressing cavity (3). The earplug can cut out hazardous noise while maintaining the intensity of the required portion of sound to be within a reasonable range audible to a user.
