Title:
SOUND ABSORBING/INSULATING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/049224
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sound absorbing/insulating material that has excellent sound insulating properties from the low frequency range to the high frequency range. This sound absorbing/insulating material includes a fiber layer, a porous layer, and an elastic layer. The fiber layer has an average flow pore diameter of 1.0-60 μm and an air permeability of 30-220 cc/cm2 · s as measured by the Frazier method. The porous layer comprises at least one substance selected from the group consisting of a foam body having continuous holes, a nonwoven fabric, and a fabric. The porous layer has a thickness of 3-40 mm and a density both lower than that of the fiber layer and in the range of 3-150 kg/m3. The elastic layer comprises at least one substance selected from the group consisting of an independent foam body and a rubber sheet. The fiber layer is arranged closer to the side on which sound is incident than the porous layer and the elastic layer.
