Abstract:
The present invention provides technology for improving a decoded sound signal using a sound signal obtained from another code when there is a sound signal obtained from the other code, said other code being a code that differs from the code serving as the source for obtaining the decoded sound signal but is derived from the same sound signal. Using a signal (hereinafter referred to as an upmixed monaural decoded sound signal) obtained by upmixing a monaural decoded sound signal, a signal (hereinafter referred to as an upmixed common signal) obtained by upmixing a decoded sound common signal obtained by downmixing decoded sound signals of channels is refined to generate a refined upmixed signal, and in each channel, a refined decoded sound signal is generated by subtracting the upmixed common signal from the decoded sound signal and adding the refined upmixed signal.
