Abstract:
Provided is a space navigating body that, while having a relatively simple configuration enabling reduction in size, makes it possible to capture an object without the need of highly accurate positioning. A space navigating body 1 is provided with: a body 10; a movable portion 11 reciprocating with respect to the body 10 along an axial direction; and a magnetic force generating unit 20 attached to a distal end of the movable portion 11. The space navigating body 1 attracts by magnetic force a plate-like body 2 attached to an object T in outer space. The magnetic force generating unit 20 includes a magnet supporting member 23 attached to the distal end of the movable portion 11 via a buffering elastic body 22, and a plurality of permanent magnets 24 laid on the surface of the magnet supporting member 23 to form an attracting region C. When the movable portion 11 is moved by a driving unit 30 away from the body 10, the attracting region C protrudes from the body 10 while maintaining a constant attitude intersecting the axial direction. When an external force is applied, the attracting region C can execute a positional change and an attitude change due to the buffering elastic body 22.
