Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a space sanitizing and cleaning device which uses hypochlorous acid water to sanitize and clean a space, the space sanitizing and cleaning device being capable of using a simple filter configuration to reliably sanitize external air taken in from the surroundings. This space sanitizing and cleaning device is characterized by comprising: an air supply passage 22 that connects together an intake opening 18 and an exhaust opening 20 which are formed in a housing 12; a water storage tank 56 that is disposed within the housing 12; an electrolysis means 60 that electrolyzes salt-containing water stored in the water storage tank 56 to generate hypochlorous acid and electrolyzed hypochlorous acid water in which hypochlorous acid is dissolved; a sanitizing filter 76 that is disposed in the air supply passage 22 in a manner enabling air to pass therethrough; a sanitizing means 48 that causes the electrolyzed hypochlorous acid water generated by the electrolysis means 60 and hypochlorous acid volatilized from the electrolyzed hypochlorous acid water to become included in the sanitizing filter 76; a dust removal HEPA filter 32 that is disposed in the air supply passage 22 in a manner enabling air to pass therethrough, further toward the intake opening 18 side in comparison to the sanitizing filter 76; and a blowing means 28 that generates, in the air supply passage 22, an airstream which is introduced from the intake opening 18, passes successively through the HEPA filter 32 and the sanitizing filter 76, and is discharged from the exhaust opening 20, wherein external air taken in from the intake opening 18 is sanitized, while passing through the sanitizing filter 76, by means of the electrolyzed hypochlorous acid water with which the air is brought into contact through gas-liquid contact in the sanitizing filter 76 and the hypochlorous acid volatilized from the electrolyzed hypochlorous acid water, and the sanitized air is discharged out of the housing 12 from the exhaust opening 20 in a state containing the volatilized hypochlorous acid, whereby the volatilized hypochlorous acid in the discharged air sanitizes the space around the housing 12.
