Abstract:

The present invention provides a spectacle lens comprising an object-side surface and an eyeball-side surface and having a first refractive region that has a first refractive power based on a prescription to correct a refractive error of an eye, and a second refractive region that has a refractive power differing from the first refractive power and functions to join focal points at a position other than the retina of the eye so as to suppress progression of the refractive error of the eye. An interface portion is disposed within the spectacle lens. The interface portion comprises a base portion and convex sections that protrude from the base portion or concave sections that are recessed from the base portion. The function of the second refractive region is realized by means of the convex sections or the concave sections, and the differing refractive indices of two types of members sandwiching the interface portion. The outermost surface portion of the spectacle lens corresponding to the convex sections or the concave sections is smooth. The present invention also provides technology related to said spectacle lens.
