Abstract:
Provided is a sperm collecting container (1) which is highly effective at inhibiting the deterioration of sperm (S) and can efficiently recover the sperm (S). The sperm collecting container (1) includes: a container body (10) which has an inner container (11) that accommodates the sperm (S) and an outer container (12) that covers the inner container (11); and a lid body (20) which is mounted on the container body (10). The inner container (11) includes an introduction port (14) through which the sperm (S) is introduced and a bottomed storage part (15) which has a diameter smaller than that of the introduction port (14) and which stores the sperm (S). The storage part (15) has a sperm (S) recovery portion (15c) in the bottom (15b) thereof that is closed during the collection of the sperm (S) and is opened by means of having a needle (3) inserted therethrough during the recovery of the sperm (S). The lid body (20) has an inner lid (23) that is insertingly arranged inside the inner container (11) so as to reduce the volume of the inner container (11).
