Abstract:
The present invention provides a split turbocharger which lowers the temperature of supercharged air by blocking the heat conduction of exhaust gases, increases flux, supplies compressed air with increased boost pressure, and thereby improves accelerative responsiveness throughout the entire operating area, by providing a power transmission apparatus, which increases the rotation of an impeller, between an impeller housing and a bearing housing in a turbocharger, which is driven by exhaust gases from an internal combustion engine so as to compress and supercharge intake air, thus separating the connection between the impeller and a turbine wheel, generating torque by means of the interaction between the attractive and repulsive forces of rotating magnetic fields generated by the power transmission apparatus by receiving the rotational power of a shaft and the impeller, and thereby implementing the turbocharger that transmits power while increasing the number of revolutions and the torque.
