Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a spring-loaded C-ring capable of efficiently reflecting the resilience of a coil spring in the resilience of the C-ring. The spring-loaded C-ring is obtained from a soft metal covering (3) with a C-shaped cross-section and a metal coil spring (4) that is inserted in the covering (3) and the coil spring (4) is configured by winding a rectangular wire (6) with a rectangular cross-section in a coil. The total length of coil spring-to-covering contact, in which the outer surface (4b) of the coil spring (4) contacts the inner surface (3a) of the covering (3) in the unused state, with respect to the entire length of the inner surface of the covering (3), measured along an intended pressure seal line at which sealing effects are achieved by pressing the C-ring on one of a pair of opposing parallel planes (1,1) to be sealed, is set to be 90%-99%.
