Description:
STAND OF EATING TOOL TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to an eating tool support, and more particularly, to an eating tool support which can prevent an eating tool from directly contacting a table thus to make a user hygienically handle the eating tool and conveniently pick up the eating tool.

BACKGROUND ART Generally, an eating tool such as a spoon and a chopstick is used at a table during mealtime, and the eating tool is used by being put on the table.

In this case, food remaining on the eating tool is transferred onto the table thus to contaminate the table. For example, in case that a table is not cleaned up under a busy circumstance due to many customers, cleanness can not be maintained.

Accordingly, in order to solve said problem, as shown in Figure 1, an eating tool support 20 on which an eating tool 10 is hygienically put is used in the conventional art, and the eating tool support 20 is respectively arranged per one person on the table thus to make each person deal with the eating tool hygienically.

As shown in Figure 1, upper parts of a spoon 11 and a chopstick 12 are put on grooves 22 and 23 formed on a support main body 21 having a rectangular plate shape, and handles 11 b and 12b of the spoon 11 and the chopstick 12 are in contact with a surface of the table.

The support 20 is the simples structure for preventing a portion in contact with food 11 a of the spoon 11 and a portion in contact with food 12a of the chopstick 12 from directly contacting the upper surface of the table.

However, in the conventional eating tool support, since some parts of the spoon 11 and the chopstick 12 are in contact with the table when the spoon 11 and the chopstick 12 are laid down during mealtime, food remaining on the spoon 11 and the chopstick 12, especially, soup on the spoon 11 falls on the table thus to contaminate. Even in a case that lower portions of the chopstick 12 are knocked on the upper surface of the table so as to align the chopstick 12, food is transferred onto the upper surface of the table thus to contaminate the table. Once the table which many people use is smeared with food, appearance is not good and cleaning the table is troublesome.

Also, since the handles 11b and 12b of the spoon 11 and the chopstick 12 are in contact with the upper surface of the table, a user feels inconvenient at the time of repeatedly picking up and laying down the eating tool 10. Accordingly, the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 are made to be protruded toward the user's front in order to facilitate the picking up the eating tool 10, and the portions in contact with food 11 a and 12a of the eating tool 10 are in contact with the upper surface of the table as they are thus to be used unsanitarily.

MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The present invention will now be described with reference to accompanying drawings.

Many referred embodiments of the eating tool support of the present invention can exist, but the most preferred embodiment will be explained hereinafter.

Figure 2 is a perspective view of an eating tool support according to one embodiment of the present invention.

The eating tool support according to one embodiment includes: a main body 50 placed on a table and having a certain thickness; and a

receiving part 52 formed at an upper surface of the main body 50 for receiving an eating tool 10.

The main body 50 has a certain thickness so that the eating tool 10 can be located highly to a degree from a surface of the table, and has a length shorter than that of the eating tool 10 so that handles 11 b and 12b of the eating tool 10 can be protruded outwardly.

That is, the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 are arranged to be protruded outwardly with a certain height from the surface of the table, so that a user can pick up and lay down the eating tool 10 more conveniently during mealtime.

The receiving part 52 formed at the upper surface of the main body 50 in order to receive the eating tool 10 is provided with a wall 54 having a certain height toward an outer circumference direction of the upper surface of the main body 50. A part where the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 are protruded is not provided with the wall, so that the handles 11b and 12b can be protruded more easily. Also, the receiving part 52 is provided with a compartment 56 for separating each eating tool 10 in case that different eating tools are received.

The receiving part 52 receives portions of the eating tool in contact with food 11 a and 12a thus to prevent the portions of the eating tool in contact with food 11 a and 12a directly contacting the surface of the table, thereby preventing the surface of the table from becoming dirty. Also, the portions of the eating tool in contact with food 11 a and 12a are prevented from being contaminated thus to be able to use the eating tool 10 more

hygienically.

The eating tool 10 indicates a spoon 11 and a chopstick 12 in the preferred embodiment, but the eating tool 10 can variously include not only the spoon 11 and the chopstick 12 but also a fork, a knife, and etc.

Operations of the eating tool support according to one embodiment of the present invention will be explained as follows.

First, the eating tool support is respectively put on the table per one person and the eating tool 10 (as shown in drawing, the spoon 11 and the chopstick 12) is received. Then, the user picks up food by grasping the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 protruded outwardly of the receiving part 52 and lays down the eating tool 10 on the eating tool support repeatedly during mealtime.

At this time, since the handles 11 b and 12b of the eating tool 10 are protruded outwardly, the user can pick up and lay down the eating tool 10 more conveniently. Also, since the portions in contact with food 11 a and 12a are received in the receiving part 52, they are prevented from directly contacting the surface of the table thus to prevent the table from becoming dirty and prevent them from being contaminated.

Figure 3 is a perspective view of an eating tool support according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

The eating tool support according to the second embodiment includes: a main body 60 which is placed on a table ; and a receiving part 62 formed at the upper surface of the main body 60 for receiving the eating tool 10, in which the receiving part 62 is formed with a slant state in a

longitudinal direction so that the handles 11 b and 12b of the eating tool can be located more highly than the portions in contact with food 11a and 12a.

That is, the receiving part 62 of the eating tool support according to the second embodiment is provided with a wall 66 formed at both sides of the receiving part 62 in order to protect a received eating tool, and a height is gradually lowered toward a part where the portions of the eating tool in contact with food 11 a and 12a are formed from a part where the handles 11 b and 12b of the eating tool are protruded.

In the eating tool support, the receiving part 62 is formed with a slant state thus to reduce material cost. Also, since the eating tool 10 is received in the receiving part 62 with sliding along the slant surface of the receiving part 62, the eating tool 10 can be aligned more conveniently.

Figure 4 is a perspective view of an eating tool support according to a third embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in Figure 4, the eating tool support according to the third embodiment includes: a main body 70 which is placed on a table ; a receiving part 76 formed at one side of the upper surface of the main body 70 for receiving portions in contact with food 11 a and 12a; and a supporting rib 72 formed at another side of the upper surface of the main body 70 for supporting handles of the eating tool 10 with a protruded state outwardly.

The receiving part 76 can have different forms according to shapes of the portions in contact with food 11 a and 12a, and preferably is formed as a groove having a certain depth so that the portions in contact with food

11 a and 12a can be put.

The supporting rib 72 is extended with a certain height from an end portion of another side of the main body 70 toward an upper direction, and a supporting groove 74 for supporting the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 is formed at the upper surface of the supporting rib.

In the eating tool support according to the third preferred embodiment, the portions in contact with food 11 a and 12a are received in the receiving part 76 and the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 are supported by the supporting groove 74 of the supporting rib 72, so that the eating tool 10 is arranged without directly contacting the surface of the table. Herein, since the supporting rib 72 has a certain height, the handles 11 b and 12b of the eating tool 10 are located more highly than the portions in contact with food 11 a and 12a.

Figure 5 is a perspective view of an eating tool support according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention.

The eating tool support according to the fourth embodiment includes: a main body 80 placed on a table ; a receiving part 82 formed at the upper surface of the main body 80 for receiving the eating tool 10; and a collecting part 88 formed at the upper surface of the main body 80 for collecting food remnant generated during mealtime.

A length of the main body 80 is longer than that of the eating tool 10, and the main body 80 is provided with the receiving part 82 for receiving the eating tool 10 at one side of the upper surface thereof and the collecting part 88 for collecting food remnant at another side thereof.

The receiving part 82 is formed with a slant state so that the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 can be protruded outwardly, and is provided with a wall 84 having a certain height toward a circumference direction of the upper surface of the main body 80. Also, as shown in Figure 6, grooves 90 having a certain shape are formed at parts where the portions in contact with food 11a and 12a are put, thereby receiving the portions in contact with food 11a and 12a more easily.

The collecting part 88 is formed with a certain depth at the upper surface of the main body 80 where the handles 11b and 12b of the eating tool 10 are located thus to collect each kind of food remnant generated during mealtime such as fish bone.

The eating tool supports according to the present invention are preferably fabricated with earthenware or ceramic material, and various pictures can be printed on the surface thereof by a method such as thermocouple.

Also, the eating tool support can be applied not only to a spoon and a chopstick, but also to a fork, a knife, and etc.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY As so far described, according to the eating tool support of the present invention, the portions in contact with food are received thus to prevent them from directly contacting the surface of the table. According to this, the surface of the table is prevented from becoming dirty by the portions in contact with food and the portions in contact with food are

prevented from being contaminated thus to improve a hygienic characteristic.

Also, by protruding the handles of the eating tool with a certain height from the surface of the table, the user can pick up and lay down the eating tool more conveniently.

Besides, since the collecting part for collecting food remnant is formed at the upper surface of the eating tool support thus to collect food remnant generated during mealtime, the table can be maintained with a clean state.
