Abstract:

A stapler where a cartridge can be installed in a stapler body in a stable manner and without play, and the fixation of the cartridge can be released in conjunction with an opening motion of a door member. A stapler (100) has a cartridge (140) provided in a cartridge-receiving chamber (102) of a stapler body (101) such that the cartridge can be drawn out. At the lower portion of the opening of the cartridge-receiving chamber (102) is provided an engagement shaft (121) upwardly urged by an elastic member (126). The cartridge (140) has an engagement projection (180) and a door member (185). When the cartridge (140) is pushed and received in the cartridge-receiving chamber (102), the engagement shaft (121) engages the engagement projection (180), and the door member (185) is urged by the engagement shaft (121) so as to close the opening of the cartridge-receiving chamber (102). When the door member (185) is opened, it releases the engagement shaft (121) from the engagement projection (180).
