Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stave and a stave manufacturing method, comprising: forming a coolant channel in a rolled sheet material by drilling from one side toward the opposite other side of a rolled sheet material; bending the rolled sheet material and thereby forming a recessed inner surface facing the inner space of a blast furnace and a protruding outer surface which is located on the opposite side to the inner surface; cutting the inner surface and thereby forming protrusions and a plurality of groves disposed between the protrusions, wherein the grooves each have a bottom surface located along the lengthwise direction of the rolled sheet material, an upper-side surface which is adjacent to any one of the protrusions, and a lower-side surface which, relative to the base surface, is located at the opposite side to the upper-side surface and is adjacent to the other protrusion, the angle formed by the upper-side surface and the base surface being not greater than 90 degrees, and the angle formed by the lower-side surface and the base surface being an acute angle. Thus, protrusions and grooves are formed by the cutting of the rolled sheet material, greatly improving the heat transfer properties of the stave main body, and enabling various shapes of groove to be adopted.
