Abstract:
The present invention relates to a steel cord for rubber reinforcement, wherein a plating layer of a steel wire for a steel cord is formed of a ternary or quaternary alloy. The plating layer of the steel wire for a steel cord of the present invention is formed of Cu-M-Zn (M is one or two elements of Co, Ni, Cr, Mo, Al, In, or Sn), and has a concentration gradient where the content percentage of M from the surface to the 1/4 point of the plating layer is 40% or more relative to the content percentage of M in the entire plating layer. The plating layer is obtained by a manufacturing method comprising: a step of performing sequential plating in the order of Cu → M → Zn on the surface of the steel wire; a primary diffusion step of, for a concentration gradient of M, subjecting the sequentially plated steel wire to high-frequency induction heating with 1-500 MHz; and a secondary diffusion step of, after the primary diffusion, performing middle-frequency induction heating with 10-500 KHz.
