Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the degree of freedom in the design of a steering module. The steering module comprises: a vehicle body fixed section including a steering shaft, and a fixed support section that supports the steering shaft so that the steering shaft does not rotate relative to the vehicle body; a pivoting main body section supported on the steering shaft so as to swing relative to the steering shaft; a vehicle wheel support section that supports the vehicle wheels and that is provided so as to rotate relative to the pivoting main body section; and a steering motor unit that steers the vehicle wheels by imparting, to the steering shaft, torque that causes the pivoting main body section to pivot, wherein the steering motor unit is configured so as to be able to impart, to the steering shaft, torque whereby the vehicle wheels maintain a straight-advancing state.
