Abstract:
A stepless transmission (1) configured in such a manner that an input disk (17) and an output disk (18) which hold planetary balls (14) in the axial direction are pressed to the planetary balls (14) to cause the transmission of torque between the input and output disks, and that the transmission ratio is changed in a stepless manner according to the positional relationship between the input and output disks. The stepless transmission (1) is provided with: a first helical gear (61) and a second helical gear (62) which can generate an axial first force for pressing either the input disk (17) or the output disk (18) to the other and can, when the rotational direction is reversed, generate an axial second force in the reverse direction to the first force; and an input shaft (30), radial bearings (RB3), and a snap ring (SR) which transmit to the other of the disks the second force generated by the first helical gear (61) and the second helical gear (62).
