Abstract:
The invention concerns a sterile non-adhesive compress comprising an open-meshed soft fabric, said fabric comprising yarns coated with a cohesive but non-adhesive gel so as to leave the meshes substantially open, and it is characterised in that the gel is formed by a highly plasticised hydrophobic elastomeric matrix containing a dispersion of a hydrocolloid hydrophile particles. The invention is useful for dressings.
