Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the technical field of air conditioners, and aims to solve the problem of the poor sterilization effect of existing air conditioners. Therefore, provided are a sterilization control method for an air conditioner, and an air conditioner. An indoor unit of the air conditioner comprises a shell, an air deflector, a fan and a sterilizing lamp, wherein the sterilizing lamp is arranged in an air duct of the shell. The sterilization control method comprises: determining whether preset conditions are met; if the preset conditions are met, respectively acquiring the current temperature in a room and a target temperature set by a user; and according to the current temperature and the target temperature, selectively making an air conditioner execute a deep sterilization mode, wherein the step of "making an air conditioner execute a deep sterilization mode" specifically comprises: closing an air deflector and/or reducing the rotational speed of the fan to a first preset rotational speed. By means of such an arrangement, the air conditioner is intermittently made to execute the deep sterilization mode, and the contact time between an airflow and the sterilizing lamp is prolonged, so as to perform deep sterilization on the airflow, such that the sterilization effect of the air conditioner can be improved.
