Description:
STORAGE CONTAINER

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a storage container. A main body and a cover of the storage container are fixed together by a fixing part including a removable portion, and the main body and the cover are capable of rotating relative to each other when the removable portion is removed.

BACKGROUND

[0002] In daily life, storage containers are usually used to accommodate various foods or articles, such as candies, medicines, jewelries and the like. At present, one of the relatively common storage containers on the market has a single cavity and an upper cover rotatably connected to the single cavity. For example, the packaging of candies that is common in supermarkets is usually in the form of a can. Each kind of candies needs a separate package, or several kinds of candies are mixed together. When users desire to carry classified articles with them, it is necessary to prepare a separate storage container for each kind of articles. [0003] Another common storage container includes a container body with multiple compartments and a container cover covering the container body to accommodate different kinds of articles. Usually, for the purpose of sealing, the container cover will be tightly fitted with the container body. When a user wants to get one of these articles, the container cover must be forcibly opened, thus causing the articles in the compartments to fall out of the storage container. On the other hand, such storage container is usually large in size, inconvenient to carry and poor in utilization rate. Moreover, the above-mentioned storage container is generally disposable with a usage process unappealing to users and hence is usually discarded after usage, which results in serious wastes.

SUMMARY

[0004] The objective of the present disclosure is to provide a storage container to overcome the above defects. The storage container according to the present disclosure is characterized in that it includes a main body with a main body opening; a cover at least partially sleeved outside the main body and covering the main body opening; and a fixing part fixing the main body and the cover together; wherein the fixing part includes a first portion fixed to the main body, a second portion fixed to the cover, and a removable portion connecting the first portion and the second portion and provided therebetween; wherein the cover is capable of rotating relative to the main body when the removable portion is removed from the fixing part. The storage container according to the present disclosure is reusable and is suitable for storing a variety of different kinds of articles. Compared with conventional storage containers, the storage container according to the present disclosure is more economical and more environmentally friendly, and also brings more fun to users during usage.

[0005] Preferably, the removable portion is an easily-torn strap or an easily-torn line.

[0006] Preferably, the fixing part extends around entire circumferences of the main body and the cover.

[0007] Preferably, the main body and/or the cover have/has a shape of cylinder.

[0008] Preferably, the main body includes a plurality of cavities open at the main body opening, and the storage container further includes a shutter mounted at the main body opening, which shutter has a shielding portion shielding at least one of the plurality of cavities and windows respectively corresponding to other cavities. In this way, the main body is divided into a plurality of reusable cavities for storing different articles.

[0009] Preferably, the cover has a cover side wall and a top provided with a top opening corresponding to at least one of the plurality of cavities. In this way, when the cover is rotating relative to the main body, the top opening can selectively stay at the position of the shielding portion so as to close the storage container or stay at the position of one of the windows so that the top opening is in communication with the corresponding window and the corresponding cavity to store or take out an article.

[0010] Preferably, the main body includes a hollow cylinder and a bottom part fixed to the hollow cylinder. In this way, the main body of the storage container can be manufactured in a simple manner.

[0011] Preferably, the bottom part has a bottom side wall surrounding the hollow cylinder. [0012] Preferably, an edge of the cover side wall abuts against an edge of the bottom side wall, wherein the first portion is fixed to the bottom side wall and the second portion is fixed to the cover side wall. This abutment is an axial abutment between the cover and the main body along a mounting axis, whereby the main body and the cover are abutted oppositely during a relative rotation therebetween.

[0013] Preferably, the main body is provided with a first stop on its outside surface, and the cover side wall is provided with a second stop on its inside surface which cooperates with the first stop to prevent the cover from escaping from the main body along the mounting axis. In this way, the main body and the cover are stopped along a separating direction during the relative rotation therebetween, by means of the first stop and the second stop. In conjunction with the above-mentioned axial abutment between the cover and the main body, the cover and the main body are locked in both directions along the mounting axis during the relative rotation therebetween, and there is basically no relative movement between the cover and the main body along the mounting axis, thus guaranteeing the stability of the overall structure of the storage container.

[0014] Preferably, the first stop and/or the second stop extend(s) along at least a part of an entire circumference.

[0015] Preferably, the first stop and/or the second stop extend(s) along the entire circumference.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0021] The preferable embodiments according to the present disclosure will be described in details below in connection with the drawings. Those skilled in the art will have further understanding of the characteristics and advantages of the present disclosure through the drawings and the related written descriptions thereof. Apparently, the described embodiments are just a part but not all of the embodiments of the present disclosure. Components of the embodiments of the present disclosure that are described and illustrated in the drawings, generally, can be arranged and designed in various configurations.

[0022] Therefore, the following detailed descriptions of the embodiments of the present disclosure provided in conjunction with the drawings are not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure, but only represent the selected embodiments of the present disclosure. Based on the embodiments of the present disclosure, all other embodiments obtained by those ordinary skilled in the art without creative labors are within the scope of protection of the present disclosure.

[0023] In the descriptions of the present disclosure, orientation or positional relationships indicated by "top", "bottom", "up" and "down" are based on the orientation or positional relationships shown in the drawings, or the orientation or positional relationships that the products of the present disclosure are usually placed in usage, only for the convenience of describing the present disclosure and simplifying the description, rather than indicating or implying that the indicated equipment or elements must have a specific orientation or must be constructed and operated in a specific orientation, and cannot be understood as a limitation to the present disclosure.

[0024] Referring to Fig. 1, it illustrates a schematic perspective view of an embodiment of a storage container 10 according to the present disclosure. [0025] As shown in Fig. 1, the storage container 10 includes a main body 100 and a cover 200. The cover 200 is at least partially sleeved outside the main body 100. The main body 100 and/or the cover 200 of the storage container 10 can be made of paper, plastic or other suitable materials, for example. The storage container can be used for storing, for example, candies, medicines, jewelries and the like.

[0026] Particularly, as shown in the exploded view of Fig. 3, the main body 100 and the cover 200 may have the form of elongated cylinders, and the cylinder wall of the cover 200 may cover most part of the cylinder wall of the main body 100, such as more than half of the cylinder wall of the main body 100. As also shown in Fig. 3, the storage container 10 has a mounting axis X along which various parts of the storage container can be mounted together.

[0027] The main body 100 may have a cylinder shape, and/or, the cover 200 may have a cylinder shape. The main body 100 may have a main body opening 190 through which the articles as stored can enter an accommodating space of the main body 100. The cover 200 covers the main body opening 190.

[0028] As shown in Fig. 3, the main body includes a plurality of cavities which are opened at the main body opening 190. The figure shows four cavities 181, 182, 183 and 184, which are formed by partitioning the accommodation space of the main body 100 with partition plates 186. In this way, the storage container 10 can accommodate different stored articles in different cavities of its main body 100, which is convenient for sorting, taking and placing the stored articles; furthermore, it is also convenient for multiple kinds of stored articles to be carried at the same time when these multiple kinds of stored articles are accommodated in the same storage container, without the need of preparing a separate container for each kind of articles. Although four cavities are shown in Fig. 3, it should be understood that the number of the cavities can be set as required.

[0029] The storage container 10 may further include a shutter 400 mounted at the main body opening 190. The shutter 400 has approximately the same shape as the main body opening 190 of the main body 100 to be able to be fixed to the main body 100 at the main body opening 190. For example, in the embodiment of Fig. 3, both the shutter 400 and the main body opening 190 have a substantially circular shape. The shutter 140 can be fixed to the main body 100 by bonding. The shutter 400 may be made of the same material as the main body 100,

[0030] The shutter 400 may have a shielding portion 410 for shielding at least one cavity. In the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, the shielding portion 410 shields the cavity 184. The shutter 400 also has windows 420, which respectively correspond to other cavities than the shielded cavity, so that the stored articles can enter the corresponding cavities through the windows. Particularly, referring to the embodiment shown in Fig. 3, the shielding portion 410 corresponds to the cavity 184 in position, while the three windows 420 correspond to the cavities 181, 182 and 183, respectively. In this way, the articles expected to be respectively stored in the three cavities 181, 182 and 183 can be placed into the cavities through the corresponding windows.

[0031] Next, the cover 200 of the storage container according to the present disclosure will be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 3. The cover 200 may have a cover side wall 210 and a top 220, and the cover side wall 21 may extend from the top 220 towards the main body 100. Preferably, the top 220 and the shutter 400 are approximately parallel and close to each other to store and take out articles more smoothly. The top 220 of the cover 200 is provided with a top opening 221 corresponding to at least one of the cavities. In this way, when the cover 200 is rotating relative to the main body 100, the top opening 221 can selectively stay at the position of the shielding portion 410 so as to close the storage container 10, or stay at the position of one of the windows 420 so that the top opening 221 is communicated with the corresponding window 420 and the corresponding cavity to store or take out an article.

[0032] The storage container 10 according to the present disclosure also includes a fixing part 300. The fixing part 300 fixes the main body 100 and the cover 200 together. Specifically, as shown in Figs. 1-3, the fixing part 300 may be integrally formed in a band shape, for example, which extends around the main body 100 and the cover 200. The fixing part 300 can extend around an entire circumference of the main body 100 and the cover 200, so that when the storage container 10 is not in use, the main body 100 and the cover 200 can be firmly fixed together (cannot be rotating relative to each other); in this way, the articles pre-loaded in the storage container are not easy to fall out. The fixing part 300 can be made of paper, plastic or other suitable materials.

[0033] As shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the fixing part 300 may include a first portion 310 fixed to the main body 100 and a second portion 320 fixed to the cover 200. The first portion 310 of the fixing part 300 can be fixed to the main body 100 by bonding, for example, and the second portion 320 can be fixed to the cover 200 by bonding, for example.

[0034] The fixing part 300 further includes a removable portion 330 which is provided between the first portion 310 and the second portion 320 and connects the first portion 310 and the second portion 320. The so-called "removable portion" here means that the portion can be separated from other portion(s) connected and fixed therewith. In the present disclosure, when the removable portion 330 is removed from the fixed part 300, the removable portion 330 is separated from the first portion 310 and the second portion 320 connected with the removable portion 330, while the first portion 310 can still remain on the main body 100 and the second portion 320 can still remain on the cover 200. At this time, the cover 200 is capable of rotating relative to the main body 100.

[0035] That is, when not in use, the first portion 310 of the fixing part 300 is fixed with the main body 100, while the second portion 320 is fixed with the cover 200. At this time, the removable portion 330 connected and arranged between the first portion 310 and the second portion 320 has not been removed, so that the fixing part 300 fixes the main body 100 and the cover 200 together, which results in that the main body 100 and the cover 200 cannot rotate relative to each other.

[0036] When the user desires to use the storage container 10, he/she only needs to remove the removable portion 330 to separate the removable portion 330 from the first portion 310 and the second portion 320 to release the relative fixation between the main body 100 and the cover 200, so that the main body 100 is capable of rotating relative to the cover 200. At this time, the user can align the top opening 221 of the cover 200 with one of the windows 420 of the shutter 400 to place or take out an article, or align the top opening 221 of the cover 200 with the shielding portion 410 to close the storage container 10 and prevent articles from falling out of the storage container 10.

[0037] In the embodiment shown in the figures, the removable portion 330 is an easily-torn strap. In another embodiment not shown, the removable portion 330 may be an easily-torn line. In this way, during usage, the storage container 10 can be brought into an in-use status merely by a simple, tearing action of the user.

[0038] The storage container 10 according to the present disclosure can be reused and is suitable for storing a variety of different kinds of articles. Compared with the conventional storage containers, it is more economical and more environmentally friendly, and also brings more fun to the users during usage.

[0039] In order to allow the main body 100 and the cover 200 to rotate without escaping from each other during the usage of the storage container 10, the outside surface of the main body 100 and the inside surface of the cover side wall 210 are provided with stop structures cooperating with each other. Specifically, referring to Fig. 4, which illustrates the stop structures cooperating with each other in an enlarged view by a circle at the left side, for the sake of clarity.

[0040] The main body 100 is provided with a first stop 115 on its outside surface. The first stop 115 is protruded from the outside surface of the main body 100, that is, it has a certain thickness.

[0041] Accordingly, the cover side wall 210 is provided with a second stop 215 on its inside surface, which second stop 215 cooperates with the first stop 115 to prevent the cover 22 from escaping from the main body 100 along the mounting axis X (Figs. 3 and 4). The second stop 215 is protruded from the inside surface of the cover side wall 210, i.e., having a certain thickness, so that the second stop 215 and the first stop 115 are capable of blocking each other.

[0042] In one embodiment, the first stop 115 and/or the second stop 215 extend(s) along at least a part of an entire circumference so as to facilitate the installation of the main body and the cover and the possible disassembly thereof in the future. For example, the first stop 115 may be a band extending along a circumferential direction of the main body 100, and two ends of the band are not in contact but a cut-out (not shown) is left therebetween; and the second stop 215 may be a stop block. Described in the orientation shown in Fig. 4, when the main body 100 and the cover 200 are mounted together along the mounting axis X, the second stop 215 in the form of a stop block can be positioned under the first stop 115 through the above-mentioned cut-out, and then the second stop 215 can be snap-fitted under the first stop 115 by the relative rotation between the main body 100 and the cover 200. In this way, during the usage of the storage container, the cover 200 and the main body 100 are capable of rotating relative to each other without escaping from each other.

[0043] In another embodiment, at least one of the first stop 115 and/or the second stop

215 may also extend along the entire circumference.

[0044] The main body 100 is further described below with reference to Figs. 3 and 4.

In the present disclosure, the main body 100 may include a hollow cylinder 110 and a bottom part 120 fixed to the hollow cylinder 110. The main body opening 190 is provided at one end of the hollow cylinder 110, and the bottom part 120 is fixed at the other end of the hollow cylinder 110 opposite to the main body opening 190, for example, by bonding. The above-described cavities are delimited by the hollow cylinder 110 and the bottom part 120. [0045] As shown in Fig. 3, the bottom part 120 has a bottom side wall 121 surrounding the hollow cylinder 110. The inside surface of the bottom side wall 121 can be fixed to the hollow cylinder 110, for example, by bonding.

[0046] As shown in Fig. 4, an edge 2101 of the cover side wall 210 abuts against an edge 1211 of the bottom side wall 121. This abutment is an axial abutment between the cover 200 and the main body 100 along the mounting axis X, whereby the main body 100 and the cover 200 are stopped in the separating direction (as described above, by the first stop 115 and the second stop 215) during the relative rotation therebetween, and are abutted in a direction opposite to the separating direction. That is to say, the main body 100 and the cover 200 are locked in both directions along the mounting axis X in the process of relative rotation, and there is basically no relative movement between the main body and the cover along the mounting axis X, thus ensuring the stability of the overall structure of the storage container. [0047] In this case, the first portion 310 is fixed to the bottom side wall 121 and the second portion 320 is fixed to the cover side wall 210 (Fig. 4).

[0048] Although the preferred modes for carrying out the present disclosure have been described in details, those skilled in the art will be appreciated that many alternative designs and embodiments for carrying out the present disclosure may be obtained within the scope of the appended claims.
