Title:
STRAW HAVING DISPERSION FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/079757
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
When hot coffee is drawn through a regular straw, the drawn coffee directly impinges on the throat, which is sensitive to heat, and causes a burn thereto. Further, when juice is drawn through a regular straw, the juice is immediately drawn into the throat without allowing the juice to be fully tasted by taste buds distributed on the tongue. Meanwhile, when a liquid is drawn using this straw having a dispersion function, as illustrated in fig. 1, the drawn liquid is sprayed out of a suction hole 14, hits a dispersion part 13, and then scatters in all directions except for the direction of the throat. This configuration can prevent the throat from being burnt in the case of hot coffee, and allows for the ingestion of the hot coffee without discomfort from the heat thereof. When used for juice ingestion, the straw also causes the drawn juice to scatter over the entire area of the tongue, and to come into substantially uniform contact with taste buds distributed on the tongue, and as the juice is swallowed down the throat, also to come into contact with taste buds distributed around the throat, thereby enabling the taste of the juice to be fully savored.
