Abstract:
The invention is related to a street lamp pole, where the operator does not need to be lifted to the level of the lighting pole in order to carry out the maintenance and/or repair procedures of the street lighting fixtures, as the fixture itself is brought down to ground level, by means of the lift system therein, such that the electricity is cut off, and the maintenance and/or repair procedures are carried out by rotating the pole that carries the fixture(s) around its own axis in order to lower down the fixture(s) to a safer place such as a refuge rather than the road. The pole assembly that can be rotated around its own axis subject to the invention is formed of at least a pole bottom section (fixed section of the pole) (3), a pole top section (4), and arms carrying the housing (5). The pole subject to the invention can be rotated around its own axis in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction by means of a motor reducer or manually from any point on the pole.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1- The invention is related to a street lamp pole, where the operator does not need to be lifted to the level of the lighting pole in order to carry out the maintenance and/or repair procedures of the street lighting fixtures, as the fixture itself is brought down to ground level, by means of the lift system therein, such that the electricity is cut off, and the maintenance and/or repair procedures are carried out by rotating the pole that carries the fixture(s) around its own axis in order to lower down the fixture(s) to a safer place such as a refuge rather than the road, characterized in that, the entire pole or any section of the pole that can be rotated and the fixture carrying arms (5) can be rotated in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction around its own axis circularly, manually and/or mechanically and/or by means of an electric motor-reducer.

2 A pole according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a reducer (9) at the inner section of the joint that joins the fixed section (3) of the pole and the top section (4) of the pole,

-a rotation arm (11) that has been taken out of the fixed section (3) of the pole, where said fixed section houses the reducer (9),

-a drive shaft that is fixed to the inner pipe (4.1) of the pole (rotating section) at the center of the reducer (9),

-a reducer (9) that is driven by means of a switch or apparatus manually, when the rotating arm (11) is rotated externally, and the reducer (9), radially rotate the drive shaft (10) around its own axis,

-a drive shaft (10) that rotates the inner pipe (4.1) connected thereto, and therefore the inner section of the pole (4.1) rotates the arms (5) carrying the fixture circularly around its own axis.

3 A pole according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a carrier arm rotation group (12) at the top point of the fixed section (3) of the pole that is extended from one end to the other,

a carrier arm rotation group (12) that houses a motor-reducer (12.2) and a gear mechanism (12.3),

a carrier arm rotation group (12) that has been embedded with bearings

(12.1) to the pole fixed section (3) at the top point of the pole fixed section

(3),

a motor-reducer (12.2) housed by the carrier arm rotation group (12), that is driven by means of a remote control or from the ground by means of a button by providing electric power, and the fixture carrier arms (5) connected thereto are rotated circularly on the pole fixed section (3) via the bearings

(12.1). A pole according to claim 1, characterized by, at least a gear wheel such as a conical/helical gear being mounted to the drive shaft (10) that is fixed to the inner pipe of the pole from the joint section that joins the fixed section (3) of the pole and the top section (4) of the pole,

at least a gear wheel such as a conical/helical gear being mounted to the rotation arm (11) and coupling is carried out,

- the rotation arm being moved from the outside, circularly and the rotation motion being transferred to the drive shaft by means of said gear wheels,

- the inner pipe (4.1) of the pole that is fixed to the drive shaft (10) and in turn the fixture carrying arms (5) being circularly rotated. A pole according to claim 1, characterized in that, before the pole is rotated, the safety pin (4.3) that is located on the top section of the pole is released and when the rotation process is completed, the safety pin (4.3) is locked back, thereby preventing the uncontrolled rotation of the pole.

STREET LAMP POLE ASSEMBLY THAT CAN BE ROTATED AROUND ITS

OWN AXIS

The invention is related to a street lamp pole, where the operator does not need to be lifted to the level of the lighting pole in order to carry out the maintenance and/or repair procedures of the street lighting fixtures, as the fixture itself is brought down to ground level, by means of the lift system therein, such that the electricity is cut off, and the maintenance and/or repair procedures are carried out by rotating the pole that carries the fixture(s) around its own axis in order to lower down the fixture(s) to a safer place such as a refuge rather than the road.

The street lighting lamps are components that are placed on top of poles in order to provide sufficient lighting, where said lamps are serially positioned along a road or are positioned singularly. In time, when it is required for the lamp to be changed, or if maintenance is necessary, periodically, the unit called the fixture in which the lamps are present, needs to be accessed and opened. The personnel who it to perform this intervention needs to climb up to this level and to reach the fixture. Due to this reason, the basket cranes that carry people, are parked under the lamp in the street and are used to ensure that the operator reaches the fixture that is 6-9 m high. This method interrupts traffic and necessitates the usage of a vehicle such as a basket crane.

The invention enables the fixtures to be lowered onto the refuge by means of the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures around its own axis in order to enable the intervention of fixtures to be carried out on ground level, safely, as opposed to the above- mentioned method that has disadvantages. The lighting poles are formed of a column and a console that carries the fixtures and the fixtures. Our invention additionally comprises a rope lift system that carries the fixture and lowers the fixture to ground level, pins that center the fixture and locks it, a fixture carrier that houses the socket that provides electrical conduction, and a pole carrying a fixture that is integrated to this carrier; wherein said pole is rotated 90° before the lowering process of the fixture manually and/or via a motor reducer in order to lower the fixtures to refuge level (or in other words parallel to the ground).

The most important problem of the prior art is that the poles are fixed and although the fixtures are lowered to ground level, they usually come down on the road.

In an assembly where the fixture is lowered to the ground, a mechanism where the pole carrying the fixture is rotated around its own axis has not been provided in the art.

When the prior art is taken into consideration, the following documents have been observed;

In our b patent application numbered 2019/02183, related to a lighting fixture, a fixture assembly has been disclosed as follows;“The fixture assembly subject to the invention is formed of at least a fixture body (5) and a fixture (6)”. An electric socket (12) has been provided at the bottom section of the fixture body (5). Furthermore, at least two fixture guide pin slots have been positioned at the same level with the electric socket (12) and a hole has been opened for the lowering rope (9) to be able to pass through the centers of the pin slots.

At least two fixture guide pin slots (15), rope lowering pulleys (14) and an electric motor (13) have been positioned in the inner section of the fixture body (5). The extension of the electric socket (12) is located in the inner section of the fixture body (5). In our invention, the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures has not been mentioned.

In the CN207661631 numbered utility model it has been disclosed as below;

“The utility model is related to an energy-conserving environmental protection technology field, particularly related to a height -adjustable's energy -conceiving and environment - protective street lighting, the on-line screen storage device comprises a base, fixed surface has the sleeve on the base, the sleeve lateral wall has a setup and a transferred knot hole with locking bolt matched there-with, the mouth of pipe inner wall is mounted on the sleeve, the outer wall bearing housing, the first connection piece, the block terminal and the backup pad from lower to upper in proper order has been mounted to the outer bearing housing that is connected to the jardiniere via the second bracing piece, the right-hand member of first bracing piece is fixed with the lamp shade, the top surface of lamp shade is fixed with the exhaust fan, the below of exhaust fan is equipped with the fixed plate, the lower fixed surface of fixed plate has the lamp, the inner battery is equipped with a block terminal, the top of backup pad is equipped with solar cell panel, the top of montant is equipped with the rubber sheath, the utility model provides convenience for adjusting the illuminator levels of street lamps, which is a problem, and this problem has been solved easily, by means of a wind reflector a solar cell panel”. This product discloses that the height of the pole can be adjusted by means of an adjustment hole and a locking screw.

In this document, the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures has not been mentioned.

In the publication numbered CN 2411417Y and titled Lifting street lamp,

the utility model describes a lifting street lamp. A group of pulleys is fixed in a top housing of the lamp, and the other group of pulleys is fixed on a hoisting plate. A lamp cap is arranged at the inner side of the skirt edge of the hoisting plate, and a lamp cover is connected with the hoisting plate by the skirt edge. The hoisting plate is fixedly matched with the top housing by a lifting rope on the pulleys, and one end of the lifting rope is connected with the top housing. The other end of the lifting rope is fixed on a winding-up roller at the bottom of a road lamp post, the lamp can be conveniently taken off from the top part of the lamp post by the winding-up roller through the lifting rope on the ground, and the lamp is wiped or repaired. The utility model has the advantages of time-saving, labor-saving, low labor intensity and high safety, avoids working danger, and is a novel and unique street lighting lamp product. The document discloses that the height of the lamp can be adjusted by means of a rope pulley system where the rope is passed through the pole.

In the publication numbered CN105627213 A, the invention is related to a lifting street lamp and a maintaining method and it belongs to the field of street lamps and relevant illumination technical equipment. The lifting street lamp mainly comprises a base pole of a hollow structure, a lifting rod, winding rollers, and a pulley are arranged in the base pole, lamp bodies are mounted at the upper end of the lifting rod, and a guiding wheel is mounted at the lower end of the lifting rod and used for guiding the lifting rod to go up and down in the base pole; a steel wire rope is wound on the winding rollers, and the other end of the steel wire rope winds across the guiding wheel and then is fixedly connected to the lifting rod; the winding rollers are driven by a crank handle so that the steel wire rope can be wound and unwound. Through the designed brand-new structure of the lifting street lamp, the street lamp is provided with a simple and reliable structure and can go up and down so that workers can directly maintain the street lamp conveniently on the ground. The document discloses a lamp whose height can be adjusted by means of a rope.

Again, in this document, the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures has not been mentioned. The utility model numbered CN206247177U discloses a lifting street lamp that belongs to the street lamp field, and is more convenient and aims for the operating personnel to easily provide maintenance of the street lamp. Its technical scheme main points are: the inside bottom of lamp pole including the lamp pole and lighting fixture, is rotated and is connected with the gear no. 1, the axle center is fixedly connected with screw rod of gear no. 1, threaded connection has the slider on the screw rod, the inside slide rail that supplies the slider to the slide that is equipped with the lamp pole slider on one side and lighting fixture fixed connection, is equipped with the lamp pole and it enables the gliding guideway of lighting fixture, the lamp pole is equipped with with a gear that is perpendicularly meshed with gears no. 2, which allows the axial twist grip of installing of the wheel of gear no. 2. The document discloses that the height of the lamp that is connected to the gear can be adjusted by means of said control rod gear.

In this document, the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures has not been mentioned.

In the publication numbered KR101359604B1, the invention is related to a streetlight adjuster to enable users to manually adjust the height of an upper post and a middle post as an elevatable post which vertically slides on the fixed post of a streetlight using a handle without using power; and to enable users to easily replace the lamp of the streetlight and to repair the streetlight by pulling back a lamp device which is installed at the end of the elevatable post in the horizontal direction, on which the lamp is mounted. The document discloses that the height and angle of the lamp can be adjusted by means of a different mechanism.

In this document, the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures has not been mentioned.

The publication numbered US6464190 is related to a self-winding-type fixture- lifting/lowering device comprising a secure block fitted at an elevated position, and a lifting/lowering block that carries a fixture to be installed at an elevated position and that hangs from the secure block by a pair of wire cables in such a manner as to move upwards and downwards, with the lifting/lowering block including an electric motor for lifting operation and a battery for supplying electric power to the electric motor. When the lifting/lowering block reaches the uppermost position, it is kept in position by a lock mechanism, but it can move downwards by its own weight by rotating the electric motor in the reverse direction when the locked feature of the lock mechanism is released. The document describes a device whose height can be adjusted by an electric motor, having a cable system therein, where said cables are wound over a pulley.

In this document, the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures has not been mentioned. In the documents mentioned above, the street lighting fixture is lowered from the pole, by means of different methods; but information regarding the rotation of the pole carrying the fixtures has not been mentioned.

Information regarding the rotation of the entire pole carrying the street lighting fixtures or rotation of a section of the pole, or rotation of the arms carrying the fixtures, around their own axis has not been mentioned and such an application is not present.

The invention has been described in detail below, by referring to the attached drawings.

Description of the Figures:

Figure- 1 is the perspective view of the normal position (the position of the lighting fixtures that are vertical to the road) of the street lamps where the poles subject to the invention are used.

Figure-2 is the front view of the normal position (the position of the lighting fixtures that are vertical to the road) of the street lamps where the poles subject to the invention are used.

Figure-3 is the perspective view of the fixture that is brought parallel to the ground (the position of the right lighting fixture parallel to the road) by rotating the right street lamp 90°, where the poles subject to the invention are used.

Figure-7 is the perspective view of the fixture that has been lowered to a height close to the ground to enable intervention (the intervention carried out on the fixtures, on ground level on the refuge has been illustrated after the pole has been rotated) after the fixtures have been lowered to be parallel to the road for intervention on said fixtures to be carried out following the rotation of the pole on the right 90°; where the poles subject to the invention are used.

PET ATT, ED DESCRIPTION OF TU I INVENTION The pole assembly that can be rotated around its own axis subject to the invention is formed of at least a pole bottom section (fixed section of the pole) (3), a pole top section (4), and arms carrying the housing (5).

The pole subject to the invention can be rotated around its own axis in a clockwise or anti clockwise direction by means of a motor reducer or manually from any point on the pole.

After the pole is rotated, it is enabled for the fixtures to be lowered down to refuge/sidewalk (2) level, before the fixtures (6) on the fixture carrying arms (5) are brought down to the ground level for repair and/or maintenance purposes. At present, as the maintenance of the fixtures (6) of poles is performed on the road (1), said maintenance processes may cause traffic or may endanger human lives.

The pole subject to the invention comprises an elevator/lift system which enables the fixtures (6) to be lowered to a distance close to the ground by means of said lift system, and it also enables the fixtures (6) to be lowered down to the refuge/sidewalk (2) by rotating the pole around its own axis in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction, before the fixture illuminating section (6.2) is lowered down safely via a guide rope (7) after the guide rope (7) descends down, following the opening of the guide rope container cover (6.1).

While the rotated state of the poles is illustrated in Figure- 1 and Figure-2, the 90° rotated state of the pole on the right is illustrated in Figure-3. In Figure-5 the guide ropes of the fixtures located on the right pole, are shown such that they are lowered down, onto the refuge (2). In Figure-7, the state of the fixture illuminating section (6.2) is shown, such that it is lowered down to the refuge (2) level.

Here, the rotation type of the pole is carried out via a reducer (9) that is positioned in the inner section of the joint of the fixed section of the pole (3) and the top section (4) of the pole. The rotation arm (11) is taken out of the reducer (9) outwards of the fixed section (3) of the pole. At the center of the reducer (9), the drive shaft is fixed to the inner pipe (4.1) of the pole (rotating section). When the rotating arm (11) is rotated externally, by means of a switch or apparatus manually, it drives the reducer (9) and the reducer (9) due to its structure, radially rotates the drive shaft (10) around its own axis. The drive shaft (10) rotates the inner pipe connected thereto, and therefore the inner section of the pole (4.1) rotates the arms (5) carrying the fixture circularly around its own axis.

A different pole construction has been provided in Figure-11, wherein the fixed section (3) of the pole is extended from one end to the other, and a carrier arm rotating group (12) has been positioned at the top point of the pole. The carrier arm rotation group (12) houses a motor-reducer (12.2) and a gear mechanism (12.3). The carrier arm rotation group (12) has been embedded with bearings (12.1) to the pole fixed section (3) at the top point of the pole fixed section (3). The motor-reducer (12.2) mentioned here is driven by means of a remote control or from the ground by means of a button by providing electric power, and the fixture carrier arms (5) connected thereto are rotated circularly on the pole fixed section (3) via the bearings (12.1).

Again, as a different embodiment, a screen (8) has been mounted on the pole and the perspective view thereof has been shown in Figure-14. In this construction, the screen (8) has been connected with the console (8.1) to the console mounting pipe (4.3) that is located on the inner pipe (4.1) of the pole and the screen can be rotated together with the console, on the pole via the motor (8.2) and the chain gear mechanism (8.3) located in the console (8.1). The motor (8.2) is controlled from the screen (8). This screen can also be used for advertisement or for providing information.

In this construction, as it can be seen in the detailed and sectional views in Figure-23 and Figure-24, at least a gear wheel such as a conical/helical gear, not shown in the Figures, can be mounted to the drive shaft (10) that has been fixed to the inner pipe of the pole at the joint section that joins the fixed section (3) of the pole and the top section (4) of the pole, and as a corresponding drive, a gear wheel such as at least a conical/helical gear is mounted onto the rotation arm (11), and after coupling is carried out, the external circular motion of the rotation arm is performed and this, in turn, transfers the rotation motion by means of the gear wheels not shown, to the drive shaft (10), and following this, the inner pipe (4.1) of the pole and in return, the arms carrying the fixture (5) are circularly rotated. Before the pole is rotated, the safety pin (4.3) that is located on the top section of the pole is released and when the rotation process is completed, the safety pin (4.3) is locked back. The safety pin (4.3) prevents the possible uncontrolled rotation of the pole.

Although it has not been illustrated in the figures, besides the rotation methods mentioned above, a rotation mechanism that may be assembled below ground level shall be evaluated to be encompassed within the scope of the present invention.

The pole that can be rotated subject to the invention, enables the fixtures (6) to be lowered to refuge (2) level by ensuring the pole to be rotated from any point on the pole. The entire pole can also be rotated according to location.
