Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a structure for installing sound-absorbing material on an automobile interior trim member that is suited to improving handleability and stability of sound-absorbing material installation. [Solution] Provided is a structure for installing a sound-absorbing material 1 on an automobile interior trim material TR, wherein the sound-absorbing material 1 has an incision 2 of a prescribed length with a start point 2A and an endpoint 2B, and the automobile interior trim material TR comprises a first engaging catch 31 that engages and fits into the start point of the incision so as to overlap therewith, a second engaging catch 32 that engages and fits into the endpoint of the incision so as to overlap therewith, and a catch supporting part 33 that supports the first and second engaging catches. A slit groove 4 formed by cutting out a portion of the catch supporting part 33 is provided below the second engaging catch 32, the slit groove 4 serving as a means to enable the start point 2A of the incision 2 to slide to a position beyond a leading end 31A of the first engaging catch 31 by having the endpoint of the incision slidably inserted into the slit groove.
