Abstract:
A stamper for manufacturing a substrate for an optical disk including grooves of 1.3 'mu'm or less in width and a track pitch of 1.6 'mu'm has a plurality of projections and recesses for forming the grooves. Each of these projections has a flat upper surface portion and a pair of slopes on both sides of the upper surface portion. Each of the recesses has a flat bottom between adjacent slopes extending from adjacent projections. The width 'epsilon'/2 of the slope is expressed by: 0.05 'mu'm 'epsilon'/2 0.15 'mu'm.
