Abstract:
This superconducting wire material holding structure comprises: a holding member made from a first material; a superconducting wire material disposed inside the holding member; and a filler made from a second material which is different from the first material. The superconducting wire material includes: a base material; an intermediate layer formed on the base material; a superconducting layer formed on the intermediate layer; and a first protective layer and a second protective layer formed on the superconducting layer. The superconducting layer includes, along the lengthwise direction of the superconducting wire material, a first section, a second section, and a third section between the first section and the second section. The first protective layer is formed over the first section, and the second protective layer is formed over the second section. The filler is filled between the third section and the holding member.
