Abstract:
This superconducting wire material has a bottom surface, a top surface and a lateral surface. The top surface is a surface opposite the bottom surface. The lateral surface is connected to the bottom surface and to the top surface. The superconducting wire material is equipped with a substrate, an intermediate layer positioned on the top surface side of the substrate, and a superconducting layer positioned on the top surface side of the intermediate layer. The lateral surface is positioned to the side of the superconducting wire material in the lengthwise direction, and includes one or more measurement regions. At least one of the arithmetic mean wire roughness values measured in the measurement regions is 0.5μm or greater.
