Abstract:
Disclosed are a support material for a specialty engineering plastic for 3D printing, and a preparation method for wire stock thereof. The material comprises the following components in weight percentage: 75-90 parts of a polycarbonate resin; 5-15 parts of a reinforcing material; 1-10 parts of a compatibilizer; 2-5 parts of a plasticizer; and 0.1-3 parts of an antioxidant. The support wire stock prepared from the material can ensure stable establishment of a support portion during 3D printing of a special engineering plastic, and can bond well to special engineering plastics such as polyetheretherketone, polyetherimide, polyethersulfone, polyetherketoneketone, polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylsulfone, etc. In addition, the finished product obtained after printing can be put into a non-toxic environmentally friendly solvent, wherein the support portion will dissolve or swell and can be removed quickly. The preparation method for the support material for 3D printing according to the present invention has high chemical stability, a simple production process, can be used with an existing twin screw extruder for easy preparation, is suitable for industrial production, and can facilitate the marketing of the 3D printing materials.
