Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a surface material for automobile interior parts, which has excellent durability and is favorable in terms of preventing deterioration in appearance due to fraying of threads. [Solution] A surface material 1 which is attached to the surface of a resin core material 50 constituting automobile interior parts comprises: a first layer A that has cushioning properties; a second layer B that is located behind the first layer; and a thread 3 that forms reference irregularities 2 in the first layer by stitching the first layer and the second layer together in a layered state. A third layer C is disposed on the surface of the first layer and imparted with decorative irregularities 4 in accordance with the reference irregularities 2 in the first layer, and thread seams 31 exposed on the surface of the first layer are hidden by the third layer C and not visible from the outside.
