Abstract:
Provided are: a surface-treated glass cloth which can improve insulation reliability when formed as a prepreg; a prepreg obtained using the surface-treated glass cloth; and a printed wiring board obtained using the surface-treated glass cloth. This surface-treated glass cloth has a surface treatment layer on a surface thereof, and is characterized in that a glass that forms the glass cloth has a composition that contains 52.0-60.0 mass% of SiO2, 15.0-26.0 mass% of B2O3, 9.0-18.0 mass% of Al2O3, 1.0-8.0 mass% of MgO, 1.0-10.0 mass% of CaO, 0-6.0 mass% of SrO, 0-6.0 mass% of TiO2 and a total of 0.1-3.0 mass% of F2 and Cl2 relative to the total amount of the glass, the glass cloth has a surface coverage ratio of 75.0-100.0% and a thickness of 8-95 μm, and the surface treatment layer contains a silane coupling agent having a methacrylic group and does not contain a surfactant.
