Abstract:
The surface treatment method for a modeled object is a method for treating the surface (13) of a modeled object (10) having an uneven design portion (11) and a finely uneven portion (12) on the surface (13) and furnishes a surface treatment step and a curing step. In the surface treatment step, a filler (53) is formed in a layer and arranged in contact with or separated from the surface (13). A base material sheet (52) is arranged on the opposite side of the modeled object (10) from the filler (53). Pressure is applied to the filler (53) from the side opposite the base material sheet (52). Higher pressure than is applied to the filler (53) is applied to the base material sheet (52) from the side opposite the filler (53). The base material sheet (52) is deformed so as to follow the shape of the uneven design portion (11) of the modeled object (10). By covering the surface (13) while filling the finely uneven portion (12) with the filler (53), the surface of the filler (53) takes on a smooth face or an uneven face different from the finely uneven portion (12). In the curing step, the filler (53) is cured to integrate the filler (53) into the modeled object (10).
